I'm not sure about metal versus wood. Honestly it looks like Styrofoam behind the wood along the bottom where the storage door was.
I'm not sure about an inspection. Maybe we are too trusting but I have never driven one to a dealership to have them inspect it. This is our 5th camper over our marriage. The wall didn't seem soft. I did ask about any leaks but of course they didn't admit to the leak.
We realize we are at a point now of seeing if we can salvage this or if we've lost thousands of dollars. We just didn't even know where to start. This is definitely new to us. All our previous ones were in good shape.
