I don't like it. But, some CG's are laid out that to get to the bathroom/shower would require a long long walk.
And your point would be? :h
I rather for them to walk thru my site instead of having to walk several hundred yards to get there.
I walk around regardless if it is 100 yards or 50'. I have no right to go thru his site. At the Myrtle beach CGs. You can look across the CG to the bath house. No more than 100' away. But there is a campsite between it, and you. So You are to walk around the end of the row, and walk back down to the bath house. It is the only respect full way to act. Anything less is just wrong
And I could tell the story of a young girl that rode her bike thru our site, and hit the camper, and pulled the power cord out of the socket. More than rude. - notevenExplorer IIIwe crack a beer and wait for em to set off our motion detector tripped Very Loud Imitation Grizzly Bear Growl sound system...
- TucsonJimExplorer IIIf they are a child, I just ignore it. If they are an adult, I invite them to have a beer with me. I could care less if they walk through our camp or not.
- scottsniderExplorer III find it rude and there is no reason for it unless they are looking for a lost child. Time to set up some trip lines I guess.

The whole point is this simply can't be a flat rule.
Oh, absolutely there is a flat rule. The campsite is a rented property the same as a condo, hotel room, or house. You walk around, its that simple. Your inconvenience is in no way my inconvenience. - TlaudenExplorerI know it's not always possible, especially on 1st time visits to campgrounds, BUT, I try to book sites that there is no reason for people to walk through my site. For example, if I book a site with a bathhouse directly behind it, it's just asking for people to walk through.
- SDcampowneroperExplorerCampsites are the exclusive property of the renter in occupancy. A walk through trespasser has no right or rights in our state, and are liable whether or not the land is posted as private. So no fear of your properly restrained Fido biting a trespasser.
Now, My camp is one of those whose layout is conducive to 'shortcuts' to the main washroom or pools. To alleviate this we have erected some fencing to guide the (mostly) children around.
This is a Damocles sword issue however, as the fencing limits interaction among the family and caravan groups that prefer to use those same sites as a group area. - BTPO1Explorer

Same way I feel about people walking through my living room. They lack common courtesy and respect for others.
X2. Camping etiquette is you don't invade someones camp site or gear.
I also agree with this. I was taught young that you don't go through someone's campsite. I try to block my site as much as possible with tables or chairs. Same as when I come back and someone is parked in my site. Some people just don't care about others. JMO - rv2goExplorer II

1. Get small cigar boxes.
2. Paint them with black metallic paint.
3. In bright yellow paint, print "THIS SIDE TOWARDS THE ENEMY".
4. Sit back and watch them do U-Turns.
