How Do You Transport Your Portable Generators?

I also use a hitch haul cargo tray when transporting my 2000w portable inverter generator that goes into the Curt front hitch receiver on my truck. Along with the generator I carry a five gallon container of gasoline and seven gallons of extra water on the cargo tray. Then I run a cable through each handle of what I carry and lock it up so that they don't mysteriously disappear. I then cover everything with a tarp and ratchet strap it to the cargo tray.
