If you are good in math, you can try to calculate that at certain speed increase, the time you save on coming sooner will be taken for more frequent fueling.
Meaning your trip will take the same time, but you will burn more fuel.
I never tried high speeds for long time, but rough estimate is that going 1000 miles at 65 comparing to 80 will give you the same time of arrival, but with much lighter wallet.
