Obviously, many of us disagree. Although it could be a regional thing. With 80 mph speed limits, the dynamics change a lot.
I live in Nevada, and also do a lot of driving in Utah. Speed limit on the freeways in both states is 80 mph. So now traffic seems to be routinely moving around 90 mph; the stats in the local paper show the Nevada Highway Patrol giving out tickets for speeds over 100 mph...seems to me the last one I remember was for 112 mph.
When I'm on the freeway with truck/camper I try to stay ~ 65 mph. But it is easy to get caught up in the flow of traffic and exceed the speed limit. After a camping trip in Utah with my big 4x4 conversion van I was resetting the stats on the GPS unit and was a bit shocked to see that at some time or other I had hit a max speed of 91 mph. - Kayteg1Explorer II

No, most not few. Checkout this comprehensive list from MIT.

For anyone else, check out why you shouldn’t at the ironically “First Time Driver” site. :D

I can count 5 states have the "Keep right unless to pass" law and few more more where similar recommendation applies to certain condition.
Hardly most of the states. - spectaExplorer

If it’s a 4 or more lane highway/interstate the left lane is for passing and no one should be in that lane unless your are passing another vehicle, period.
It is legal to drive on left lane in most of the states.
Only few states have recommendations "keep right unless to pass" but with lack of reinforcement, you will see slow drivers on left lanes everywhere.
Strangely, most of them have CA license plate.
For comparison, my California friends lasted on left autobahn lane about 20 minutes before they got pulled over and reminded that they should not block fast lane driving 160 kph (100 mph) - Supercharged111Explorer

For every slow poke, there are 10 others pushing well beyond the speed limit, cutting in and out of lanes and putting everyone near them at risk.
We just visited the museum in Kearney, it was pretty cool. Towards the end they had a radar gun. I was surprised to see how very few were even doing 5 over in a 75. I did not get that perception from behind the wheel. - spectaExplorerthere's idiots on both sides of the fence - one is no better than the other

Please gtfo of the left lane if you're doing 56mph or even 66mph up Snoq Pass!
:D Truth!
I sure don’t miss the WA Left Lane drivers. Well, sometimes they are in MT, but they don’t seem to stay in the left lane long on I-90. Must the be the traffic whizzing by them. Even the dumb ones figure out they are in the wrong lane.
The state of CO is left lane ******** and merge lane incoherent.
