Most people take the speed limit as a suggestion. Some drive slower, but most push the speed limit upwards of 8-9MPH on a regular basis. Very few RELIGIOUSLY drive at EXACTLY the speed limit ALL THE TIME.

Not to drift off topic but gas mileage has never been a concern as to how fast I drive.

I drive at speeds that I am comfortable at and the gas mileage is what it is.

I was doing 75 from CO to MI and it's hard on gas. The truck is happier down at 65, 75 was the limit for not downshifting over the hills.

Agree with 1Flyboy - we run generally 50-60, lots of back roads, enjoy the scenery, and are retired -- never in a hurry.
