The Crew Cab long box 4x4 has a max conventional towing of 7600 lbs. I was surprised that opting for the CC 4x4 short box drops the trailering rating to 6200 lbs. That's a big drop in capability!! So, I know which length of bed I WON'T be getting.
As far as payload (1419 for the diesel), my wife and I are not big people. I am 5'7" and 145 and she is a little shorter and 130. I don't run with tool boxes in the back or generators or tons of firewood or anything heavy like that in the bed.
