How Much is too Much for an RV Park

Was just reading reviews of RV parks in Las Vegas. One park there charges $90 - $100 a night. I don't consider myself cheap by any means and I understand that Vegas is way overpriced in all areas, but there's just no way I would pay that much for an RV site anywhere. I know I'll get "flamed" for this post but curious on how other RVers feel. By the way, I've stayed in numerous RV Parks in Vegas for about half that price, some great some not so. Cheers!

  • You should see what a park in Newport Beach charges.

I might pay that depending on what amenities it offers. I hesitate to say things are overpriced because I really don't know what that means. As we get older everything becomes 'overpriced.'
  • My take at high rates is a tool to discourage transients from staying in the park at all. If you're not paying at least the monthly or seasonal rate, you're not really welcome.

There's an "exclusive" rv resort a few hours north of me here in Michigan that charges 80-100/night for a site on the daily rate... so high rates aren't just a Vegas thing.
