The EcoBoost engine is a good powerplant and may get good fuel mileage while not towing (as long as you keep your foot out of the turbo), but that economy tanks when towing. Many towing with the EcoBoost report fuel economy that's 1/3 less than I get with a 1-ton diesel (many threads on this and other forums). I've never seen anyone complain about having too much truck for their trailer, either.
