If my truck has sat idle for, say a month, I use my trusty digital gauge. If less, I usually do a visual. I know my tires and know the visual "bulge" of all tires with the load I'm carrying. Even if an inner dual is low I can see the outer compensation "bulge" on the same side outer tire. Sounds crazy perhaps, but when checking pressures my visuals are usually almost always spot on! :) Just my experience. I'm no expert. But I do play one on this site once in a while.... ;)
