While I use a IR often I am not sure I want to depend on it too much. I have been doing a lot of 300 mile trips lately pulling a cargo trailer and cargo in the bed instead of a TC. Last week I shot the tires as usual at my destination and noted a slightly higher temp on one of the inside wheels. Upon checking with a gauge imagine my surprise it only had 20 psi. Another leaky valve stem extender. IR is great for trailer bearings and tires but a little sketchy for a DRW without a big load. Same with thumping, while that tire did thump different it was not enough to set off a mental alarm. Just saying.
