I have a builtin generator that runs on propane. I also have an inverter to plug in small appliances that use AC.
I usually boondock in the mtns, so it isn't hot. I use the generator to charge batteries. I've never used it to run the Air Conditioner.
I also use it to run the microwave to thaw food. Sometimes to cook food.
