FWIW, our truck does not have a genset. We run everything, induction cooktop, convection microwave, refrigerator, composting toilet, air conditioner, etc., of of 600Ah of batteries and 500w of solar.
The design goal was three days of completely dry camping with no sun and no engine start.
On a recent, 60 day trip to Arizona and Colorado we found that we could not use more than about 150Ah overnight and that we could recoup that by noon either through driving or through solar.
The one thing we have not tested much is a six hour air conditioner run, but we will know more by the end of the summer. In any case, we can always start the engine for an hour or so as we get a minimum output of 150A.
