- LwiddisExplorer II50 to 30 adapters are five, six bucks? May all my TT needs be that cheap
- Johno02ExplorerYes, and yes. Several times.
- akrvExplorer30 amp outlet are in bad condition a lot of the time. If a 50 amp is available you have another option to plug in.
- Sandia_ManExplorer IIThe 50A to 30A adapter is definitely a worthwhile addition to your RV accessories kit, picked up ours at Walmart a few years ago and it has come in handy primarily for worn out 30 amp outlets at heavily used RV parks. We have a 30A to 15A adapter that has never been used while on the road although it gets plenty of use as we store our rig in our side yard plugged in 24/7.
- 2oldmanExplorer IINot often.
- Very rare to find a 50 amp site with no 30 amp connector.
Only time I have used the adapter is when there is a poor 30 amp connector such as bad ground. - dodge_guyExplorer IIUsually if a site has 50A sure there should be a 30A there also. However, most of the time the 50A is in better shape!
- BoomerwepsExplorerThanks all for the responses.
I'll be picking up a 50-30 amp adapter soon. - ScottGNomadEvery time I park at home!
- DutchmenSportExplorerOnly once in 20 years. But that one time was well worth it. If you travel much, it's a good thing to have. More than likely you may never need it, but that one time you do, you will NOT be kicking yourself.
