95 percent of my camping is boondocking. I've camped where there was nobody for miles, and also camped in popular areas where there are people right next door. I do not carry any guns and have never felt like I need to.
The most threatened I have ever felt is back when I was a tent camper and woke up to the sound of clashing horns, I thought I might get trampled by a couple dueling bucks!
