For me there is no 'one' setting for the tie downs. As an XTC-er, i adjust the tightness to snug (little on no play) for the highway. As I go down the food chain of road surfaces, I'll keep loosening the rear ones to ..
(Jeanie and I are in Patrick's Point State Park at the moment and she just handed me one of her killer, "Jean's Tequilla Sunset" in honor of Cinco de Mayo. No matter what time of day you consume said beverage, the sun goes down.)
allow the rear of the camper to lift off the bed slightly and NOT adhere to the frame's twisting. If you never get off road, or get the frame twisted up, just leave them in their current position.
