How to fix an Arctic Fox slide

You didn't mention which slide mechanism is in your TC. Sounds from your description to be the same as my '05.
I can't find the name of the one in our AF right now. I put some info about it on the forum but can't find that either.
I haven't had the same issue but did have to remove the slide and replace some of the cap bearings on the roller mechanism. I couldn't find the original parts so replaced them with some cam followers.
The manufacturer was bought sometime after 2005 by Lippert so when I needed parts they said they did not maintain records and couldn't help me. I had to re-engineer it, but that led to a better design. It's been working flawlessly since.
