Keep in mind a new truck with bare bones interior as some have specified has zero resale or trade value. I know when we buy a new truck we plan to keep the vehicle until it turns to dust. Things do change over time. I ran into this exact situation some years ago and learned a hard valuable lesson. Things like power windows and door lock ands a decent stereo don't really change payload much at all.
