How to pull cargo trailer behind a truck camper

The dealer told me today I would need to buy a $1,100 hitch set up to pull a cargo trailer behind a truck camper. This would be a class 5 hitch to replace the class 3 hitch on my truck and also a 48"...

I replaced my stock Ford hitch (a 12,500# class 4) with a Torklift and I only have a 36" Torklift extension with a 1500 to 2000# trailer depending what I have loaded on it. No way would I use a stock one they are not designed for that long of an extension.
