Get a Reese Titan Class V hitch to replace your OEM truck hitch (you can install it yourself) and a Reese 41" to 48" Extension (depending which pin hole you use) and save yourself a ton of money. Thats all you will need for a 2500 lb trailer. Thats about the weight of trailer I pull (aluminum trailer with UTV) and this set up works great. I have no intention of hauling anything heavier with my already heavy TC.
The weight carrying capacity for the 41" Reese extension is 5000 lbs., with Weight Distribution its 7500 lbs. The tongue weight is rated at 500 lbs.
The weight carrying capacity for the 48" Reese extension is 4000 lbs., with Weight Distribution its 6,000 lbs. The tongue weight is 400 lbs.
