How to pull cargo trailer behind a truck camper

The dealer told me today I would need to buy a $1,100 hitch set up to pull a cargo trailer behind a truck camper. This would be a class 5 hitch to replace the class 3 hitch on my truck and also a 48"...

I have a short bed F350 with a 10' camper. To tow, I needed a 30" extension for the superhitch, and I got both the hitch and extension used for $350 Craigslist, and $150 or so to ship from Wa to AK.
I have seen wrecked rigs with too light a hitch, and home made extensions, and they were twisted and mangled....
