How to pull cargo trailer behind a truck camper

The dealer told me today I would need to buy a $1,100 hitch set up to pull a cargo trailer behind a truck camper. This would be a class 5 hitch to replace the class 3 hitch on my truck and also a 48"...

If you have the OEM hitch on your GMC, those are known to fail under regular use (google "GM hitch failure"). Not a good idea to stress it even more with an extension.

Look at eBay or Amazon. I found my front hitch on Amazon for just over $100 shipped. A class V is going to be more, obviously, but look around.
