How to pull cargo trailer behind a truck camper

The dealer told me today I would need to buy a $1,100 hitch set up to pull a cargo trailer behind a truck camper. This would be a class 5 hitch to replace the class 3 hitch on my truck and also a 48"...

For every inch of extension you add, some % of your tongue and trailer capacity is removed.

On a factory Class 3, you can pretty much guarantee that at 48", your capacity is close to ZERO.
