How to pull cargo trailer behind a truck camper

The dealer told me today I would need to buy a $1,100 hitch set up to pull a cargo trailer behind a truck camper. This would be a class 5 hitch to replace the class 3 hitch on my truck and also a 48"...

I've never seen a generic 12" extension rated for more than 3500lbs.

Torklift Superhitch, yes.
Reese Titan, yes.

But, those generic 12" extensions you get from Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight, eTrailer, or Camping World, no.
