how to store folding camping chairs?

Does anyone have a trick for storing these things? The first thing we always lose is the bag, plus they rarely ever make it back into them anyways. My front storage has like 8 of these chairs and it's very annoying because they all get hooked onto each other and take up more space than they should. I've been thinking about making horizontal storage with multiple PVC pipes and sliding the chairs into them. Maybe 5".

Anyone have any good ideas?

EDIT:

  • Don't really have a storage idea but I also went through the "bag chair" craze. They are heavy and not very comfortable. I prefer this light weight aluminum chair that folds down compact :)See here
  • Problem #1, 8 chairs, that is too many, you will get too many visitors that way. Cut back and enjoy your time camping.

I hear you about the bags, after a couple of trips they become a pain and just take up space. We have 4 chairs and we just slide them in. We pack the front storage so that the last things in are the first things we will need. By the time we get to the chairs there is not much else to get in the way.
  • We keep 4 folding chairs (in the bags) in the front pass-through storage area under the bed. There's also a lot more in that space too, including lawn mats, 2 Quick Shade canopies, and a couple tubs full of items, as well as space for the hitch and WD bars when not attached to the truck. So the front pass-thorugh is pretty full. When getting anything out, it's just a matter of being patient and taking out items one at a time that are blocking the item I'm after. It's just the nature of having limited space. Be patient and pack it tight.

Now, we also have 2 chairs and 2 folding tables, and a collapsable table that we stow away inside the trailer. We have a spot they fit comfortably, but will slide all over when in transit. So simple D-rings attached to the floor and some bungie cords and nothing moves around. There again, if I want the item on the bottom of the stack, .... patients ... and just remove everything from the top first.
