I believe I am in love

I think if Jeep would build one again, it would get quite a bit of acceptance. Very tight turning radius, and with the V-6 diesel that Jeep is using, would be a good hauler for a popup, or cab height hunting rig. The alarm company I worked for in Kallispell Mont. back in the early "80's", had one with a Buick V-6, and 4X4, so it went all over, and was our prewire rig for off road areas.

Yeah, but it's not nearly as cute. I like the 50s/60s aesthetic. Go George Jetson!

So that's what I need, a 6 year old mechanic to carry around with me! Wouldn't be very heavy, and 6 year olds are pretty cute themselves :).

I want to go visit that one outside of Ely :).

LOL! My Grampa had one he used to haul firewood - we kids could drive it around on the local fire roads. I think it went about 20 mph, max...... would break with regularity, but my 6 yr old cousin seemed to be able to put it back together (he grew up to be an engineer)

I just saw one sitting in a field and told my DW that you don't see many of them anymore.
They are cool.

Hey, I know where you can get one for free! This particular one had a 10' long bed on it. Found this parked in the sage under a pinyon pine in the White Mountains east of Ely, Nevada. With a little TLC you could have it looking like new...but it would take a helicopter to get it out of there!

D'aw, just like the '62 scout I once had. It didn't like to go much over 45mph in 3rd, although it could do 60 if you were willing to ignore the rpms.

I am not really going to buy one, just dreaming. I'm not in a place in life right now to spend half my time tinkering and trying to track down spare parts. And you KNOW I'd need to!

4 cylinder has about 75 hp and a 3 speed, I don't know what the payload was.
