Just seeing that the throttled the kid would make me feel better about only getting $200. If he let the kid get away with it with no discipline, I would want the full $600. If you aren't smart enough to discipline your kids, you deserve to pay more.

Sounds like the father took responsibility, and the kid has learned not to tamper with other people's things ( at least in this case). I hope you can get it fixed without spending much more.
