I can think of a safer way to handle the bus situation - that was potentially very dangerous! Once, when I was driving a van full of kids to swimming lessons, they got loud and on my nerves. I told them twice to quiet down, but there was no improvement. I then, very quietly pulled over and stopped the van, not saying a word. Finally, one of the kids asked, "Ms. B, why are we stopped?" I turned and told him that the van would stay that way until it was quieter, and that their swimming lesson would still end at the same time, whether we got there on time or not. I then turned around and waited. Within a minute, we were on the road again.
