I didn't realize it was called a scare light but I have one on my trailer. The dealer called it a neighbor anoyer.I just call it a light.I wouldn't be without one like it....
The replacement is $23 at camping world...
I also do 99.9% boondocking and it works good for letting the dogs out at night in wolf country especially the black lab that blends into the dark.
If I needed more I would add another one or replace the amber door light with the larger brighter light having two on one side of the RV.
I don't have one either, but would like one for letting the dog out at night. I have huge bright lights at my house for that purpose, but I live in bear and wolf country... organized campgrounds are the only time of the year that I have neighbours LOL.
Lights from other trailers can get annoying at night (not applicable to the OP) if they are aimed right at my trailer, but it really only matters if the light keeps me awake... and that is difficult to do without a beam shining directly at my blinds. I wouldn't like someone leaving their scare light pointed at me all night, but if the light is needed for their campsite, it really isn't a problem. I just hate when people leave their lights on all night long for no reason other then they simply forgot to flip the switch. Too much ambient light lets the thieves move around easily... make it pitch black and you force them to use flashlights and become easily spotted LOL. Then light them up with the scare light... that will draw some fire!!! at them!
