ICE ???

We put an 8# bag of ice in the freezer compartment of our AC/Propane refrigerator, thinking we would use it in our cooler. It was still solid after a week.

It takes a day or two but our freezer compartment will make ice.

We actually don't usually have ice with us when camping with just my family. When we go with other families, a friend and I both have access to commercial ice machines so we each load up one cooler with ice. Plenty of ice for a long weekend if needed. Camper's refrig keeps water bottles, soda, and liquor bottles plenty cold. And we fit some food in there as well!

My iPhone user four wheel Enigma decoder interpreted this to be "I can make enough ice to serve my needs with one tray in the absorption fridge, but it is just me and I don't need much".

With that, we use two trays and a container to hold the ice once made. It's enough for the two of us.

For family camping, we keep the fridge/freezer packed with food. We use coolers for most drinks. It is more convenient to keep a cooler outside where we tend to spend most of our time, besides the space. We also use ice in beverages. :)

They work much better than the cheap ones. And that rating is if it is not opened and exposed to the ambient air. I have never had a problem with the ice not outlasting the beer :)

Exactly what we do and also, my bourbon takes a lot of ice! :B

At least for us beer tastes better when you reach into an icey cooler to get it :)

Well its very simple to figure it out. What he is saying is that ICE makes ICE...oh and he has a fridge, but he doesn't use it much

Camping World has two sizes of portable ice makers. We bought the smallest one. Of course, you need shore power. It kept a party of 4 in ice for drinks. Also bought one each for our kids. They live in apartments where an ice maker in the frig is not allowed.
