You have a 1500 series truck?
It does little to let us all know it is a Z71 or something, or Silverado. The Silverado chrome package comes in everything from 1500 truck to a dually crewcab.
Your truck is to small to carry a decent size camper. You should be looking at a 1 ton 3500 series truck. Stick with gas to save up front costs, and lower maintenance, such as avoiding the diesel truck 10 quart (I don't know for sure) $150 oil and fuel filter changes.
Then you can look for a comfortable camper, with a 'wet bath' where the shower drains into the same floorpan as the toilet is mounted on, and the toilet gets wet during a shower.
You can take along a furnace, stove, oven with broiler, kitchen sink! and hot running water - even if limited to only about 20 gallons of fresh water.
And two queen size beds (once the dinette is converted).
Good luck!
Fred.
Thanks For your insight Fred! Personally I was going to suggest a ClassA pusher.........lol
