So why didn't you buy two years ago? Or are you just talking in general about the situation? - BradWExplorer III need a new Miller mig welding machine. I've been looking at them for the last 3 years. In that time the machine I wanted has gone from about $2400 to $4000. Whoever is saying inflation is 7.9% is full of it.

If the OP is $20k short, he must be looking at campers in the 6 figure range. Yeah, they've gone up a bit but not that bad.
Hell no. I was going to buy a Northern Lite 2 years ago and they were $44k. Now they are asking as much as $76k for the same model. At that rate you can count me out. I thought the $44k was a lot. - LwiddisExplorer III’m going camping, greenno, just closer to home. Where there is a will, there is a way.
- greennoExplorerSmart time to hold back any large purchase right now.
But that being said your not able to go camping, or traveling with gas prices the way they are.
Just be patient, I know easier said than done.
Got my 2019 camper in May of 2018 before all the s --- hit the fan. - restlesswaysExplorer III

I hope so. I don't see anything of interest right now. I will wait until the fall and see if things change. - LwiddisExplorer II"Everybody got rich but me."
Yes, I got rich but most of my "riches" are in my house. I can't "spend" my house except for a reverse mortgage which is very expensive money. I note that a Winnebago TT similar to my seven year old 2101DS is about three times what I paid while the "sticker" price of my 2020 truck was about $5000 less than the 2015 Tahoe it replaced. - Geo_BoyExplorer IIBe patient, with record inflation and high gasoline prices, there will be people unloading their RV’s.

I wouldn't say that, but alot of people sure got dumb over the last 2 years....sounds like you are not one of them the way you're playing your cards.
Besides, who on earth wants a good deal and thinks spring time is a good time for a deal on a camper? :S
I agree --- spring is not greatest time to buy. BUT, you get that spring fever, and ya gotta have it! The Class C we have now, I bought in late Sept of 2018...MSRP $104k. Dealer lot price: $77k. Soon as I spent more than 5 mins looking at it, $75k. Told him wife has to come see it too...$73,500. Wife comes to look with me the next day, but she's not sure. Say we are going to sleep on it. Price drops to $70k. Five days later, he calls and offers it for $67,500 plus tax. SOLD! Dang, I mean, I wish I had bought all our other campers (TT, TC) in the late fall! restlessways wrote:
Rich? Most of us are in debt, work and pay monthly.
