The F-150 requires a WDH with more than 500# of tongue weight. So you could be over 500, but you could be under. If you're over, you could consider the Andersen WDH which is lighter and easier to use than others.
Note that this is for the 2014 model year so I'd just check Ford's towing guide for the specific model year you are looking at.
