Our first camper was small and light, within the limits of the tv, in fact we only had them at the lowest connection just to take up slack. One trip we left the wd bars off and only had the sway connected. The highway expansion joints on the trip home hit a harmonic with the tv and trailer axle that just felt like riding waves. When we arrived home the paper towels and toilet paper were unrolled, we were seasick and vowed never again to travel without the wd's connected. FWIW
