That is no small issue, and how that is done and to what extent will determine how much of that power is actually useable. Making a pickup that specs 1000 pound/feet is a pretty easy decision if you derate it to the point only 800-900 is actually available. Ford has been really good at doing that, high specs, but not performing as well as the lesser powered competition.
