Install new jacks

Honest thoughts appreciated, smart ass replies ok but only if funny. We have a 97 945 and now all of the Atwood jacks are working but I would hate to get halfway across country and have one fail on me. So I was thinking of dropping the big bucks on a set of Reico Titan jacks. What you all think? (I know I only paid 9k for the camper and the RT's are $3500.) And we are not planning on getting rid of the camper as we think it has the best lay out.
  • If you want to prolong the life of the current jacks, unbolt them from the camper and store them inside until needed.
  • Imo, they kinda don’t just “break”
If you take them apart get em all greased up, even if a motor burns up, it’ll still work pretty easy manually.
Being super prepared, maybe try to source a used working motor/head.
But $3500 for something not broke, especially if you don’t have cause to think failure is impending, is not well spent.
Although your stated plans to keep it for a long time may make it more worth it.
  • Nope I wouldn’t do it.
    Sorry no SA remarks.
    If it ain’t broke ……..
