I thought about installing a switch and decided against it because I didn't want to start hacking up factory wiring. Also, after reading some of the Ram/Cummins forums, a lot of guys a lot better in the know than myself felt quite confident it would throw an error code which I definitely didn't want. This kit is plug and play which avoids both of these problems! It is quite high quality for the harness and connectors.
And yes, I think the CAD is electric in these trucks. I had forgotten that there is a CAD rather than locking hubs in these trucks.
