I understand why insurance companies put wear and tear clauses in their policies - otherwise they end up with claims being filed for tires that lost their tread after 80k miles. But to run that to the point that vinyl flooring ripped due to improper maintenance and/or wear and tear is a stretch to say the least.
My wife has mentioned calling the manufacturer - but my RV is 7yrs old - 6yrs past the initial warranty. Considering the other battles I have had with them for significantly more serious issues, and their reluctance to address those, I am not going to hold my breath.
As for the cost of the floor - they had to remove and reinstall my slide-out in order to do the floor - that's a lot of labor.
