Last October, I damaged the awning on my trailer while backing into my storage space. The entire awning had to be replaced and it was around $1300. State Farm refused to cover it saying that coverage on the awning would have been on a separate rider to my policy. Really? It came installed from the factory as standard equipment, permanently attached. That's like saying if you wreck your truck, everything is covered but the bumper. I'm supposed to talk to the guy at Good Sam Monday morning. I got an on-line quote that was only $20 a year higher than State Farm, so I'm going to see what they have to offer.
BTW, anyone have coverage with Good Sam and how are they?
State farm covered my awning replacement. About 2 years ago the wind took my awning. I don't have any special riders on my travel trailer insurance.
