As I mentioned before, from the get-go, USAA told me they use they same policy language and exclusions as everyone else does. And that makes perfect sense - why re-invent the wheel.
Each carrier is required to file their policies with every state they offer coverage in. I happened to find where Missouri has posted all of these policies online, and I downloaded a few of them. In each case (State Farm, Allstate, Progressive, and Farmers) - the EXACT same exclusion is included in their policy letter.
So my question would be why are these other carriers not using this to dodge a claim the same as USAA is? I think there is a difference in interpretation.
(P.S. a friend of mine found the same thing in his RV a week ago - State Farm already sent him a check).
