Insurance question of AAA and Good Sams

We are thinking of swithing from Metlife to AAA (cheaper) and also wonder about Good Sams roadside assistance. We just got the Metlife in June so have no experience with them. About 600 difference in yearly premuims. So if we get AAA do we need Good Sams roadside?

  • I've had experience with both AAA and Good Sam's. In my opinion and experience Good Sam's Roadside Assistance is far better than AAA ever will be. It costs less than AAA and does more for you. For instance, if you break down somewhere out in the boonies far from anywhere Good Sam's will tow your rig to the nearest service provider even if it's three hundred miles away whereas AAA only tows you up to one hundred miles. I've had Good Sam's Roadside Assistance for quite a number of years now and wouldn't want to be without it.
  • As long as you get AAA's RV Plus or Premiere membership you will be fine, their regular membership will not cover towing a mh or a truck/trailer combination.
