4.6 and 5.4 liter motors. Aka the "Mod" motors. Earlier iterations were even known to spit spark plugs as well due to insufficient material around the plug threads. I don't know if the 5.0 liter "Coyote" motor has that issue as I don't know if they updated phaser design since. However, if you have the "Tool" to keep the chains tensioned, phasers are actually a fairly cheap and easy to replace.
