ryder.. I am not saying there was no issues with the 5.4 Ford engines over the different versions over the years.
I am only going to make a point about the spark plug breaking off issue...
"for those not blind who WILL see their owners manuals; Up here in Canada (I assume would be similar in USA) it is recommended maintenance to remove and inspect the plugs at something like 96000 Kms (about 60,000 miles)
The folks who did this "usually" had no issues with plugs breaking off. The removal cleaned the carbon off the threads before it got super hard causing them to break for the folks who didn't think it necessary to pull the plugs at iknterval Ford recommended.
I realize most of these engines are now past this mileage point but it may saqve someone some grief and a huge shop bill.
