Not in the numerous Ohio dealers I've been to. You pay tax on the negotiated price BEFORE rebates. If you buy a stickered $40K truck for $35K, and there is a $3K rebate making it $32K, you still pay tax on $35K. I hollered about that at Reineke Ford, Thayer Ford, and Steve Rogers Ford. I then went downtown to the state sales tax office in Govt Center, and they stated that the dealers are correct. Ohio looks at the rebates as a payment on the price, not a reduction on the price. They wouldn't listen to reason. P's me off.

Not all states are like yours Dodgeboy. Many, and I have bought items in several, tax the full amount, BEFORE any discount or rebate. It is NOT one law in all states.

Hello Don. I was reading on the Cummins forum today and came across this post: Trying to order a 14, restrictions galore!

I am trading in my 2013 3500 Laramie fpr a 2014 3500 Limited and was at the dealer earlier today to place the order when just about everything was on restriction except the ADX Black Appearance Group.

Also, while we were in the system, it forced us to choose black as the exterior color.

This is what was on restriction:

Aisin
Both configurations of dual alternators
Wheel to wheel side steps

Any clue on the official status of restrictions as of today?

I do know until recently the SRW were also on the restricted list as far as getting one with the Aisin tranny. A lot of people want the 4.10s or 3.73. SRW can get the 3.42 tranny. Which is fine as i am planning to get a TC a WC 850 should be fine with the 3.42.

Yes the most trouble free trucks on the road and when ever anyone can try and rip on them they do!! Face it ! All three make great trucks, and the GMs have been proven dependable , and the new 14s have been reviewed by many test magazines, and all have said mostly great things about the new trucks. They have an all new truck, and you actually think they wouldn't raise the price from last years old model ?? Give the new trucks some time for people to drive them and compare to the competition and you will see them start to sell like crazy.

I dont know about you but when i ahve bought one with a rebate, it came off the top and tax is added afterward. I have never recieved a rebate check.
