Interesting TV over the weekend.

I saw 3 TV's that the weight police would have had a heart attack this past weekend. First was a new Ram 1500 with 20" wheels towing a Montana, 2nd was a Toyota Tacoma towing a smaller 5th wheel, and the last was a crown vic towing a 32ft long travel trailer.

I saw a H2 Hummer with 24" low profile wheels towing a triple axle enclosed trailer along the Oregon coast over Labor Day. No idea how far he was towing or how heavy.

The Hummer owner could be the new poster person for the old saying, you can't fix stupid. Those drug dealer wheels and low profile tires have considerably less load carrying ratings than the stock wheels and tires. :E

Not this weekend, but a few past I was parked next to a Ram 1500 on 20's towing a 34' fifth wheel. Driver claimed he had no troubles at all.

  • I saw a Kia Sedona with three kayaks on the roof towing a 19 foot hybrid. No wait, that was me. LOL
  • On a trip to Iowa, saw a short wheel base van pulling a 34 foot travel trailer. Talk about the tail wagging the dog.
