Interior window shade/header issues

Our Kodiak TT is just over 2 years old. After driving back from Myrtle Beach this weekend, I discovered three interior issues. Two of my inside window shades and headers are broken. One completed pulled out of the wall and was laying on my bed. The other has come loose from under the cabinet in our slide out. The other issue is one of the cabinets in the slide out is loose due to the staples holding the wood framing together not properly installed. Do you think Dutchmen will do anything for me? Seems kind of nuts all these things are just falling apart. Is it from body flex? Thanks for any help as two of these will be a real pain to fix.

Nope - have been in a similar situation. Called them and got the run around. Since you are out of warranty, I'd take the advice above and use a stud finder. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Exactly. Installed without regard to the stud locations. If you use a stud finder, that'll give you something more solid to screw into.
Alternatively, you can use those plastic insert anchors, but that won't be much better than the original installation. Hollow wall anchors are likely to cause more damage to the wall, since the material is so thin. Then you'll have a real mess.

    Good luck

  • I doubt they'll do anything more than point you to a service center where they will be glad to charge you to fix it.
Personally, I'd invest in a stud finder and re-attach everything myself. As for the loose cabinet, a bit of carpenter's glue and some finishing nails should make it right.
