What causes the cruise control to get confused and just turn off? It's not an issue when manually accelerating and I can feel when the engine is winding down and about to downshift. Excursion has 3.73 gears.
Back then the cruise control relied on vacuum to operate properly. At WOT, there is not any, so the cruise control lets go.
