It is used for some fairly heavy work. We were looking for a used low mileage 6.7 but the price difference was to little in what we found.We don't have enough miles to comment on reliability of our 6.7 but we sure are impressed by it.
No I wouldn't worry about 80,000 miles. Our 2000 7.3 had 78,000 on it and it has been a great truck. With 130,000 it is still in excellent condition and trouble free.
