The beds are always made in my pup.I just raise the roof and slide them out and voila Making beds will have to be a part of your "setup" procedure with a HTT.
Another thing to consider is the bathroom in a HTT. You never listed that as one of the things you were looking for but I am sure you would use it if you had it. Maintaining it will be another thing that you will have to do that you didn't with your pup. Without hookups you may have to deal with your gray tank "during" your stay and of course have to dump and clean the entire system at the dump station on your way out. There you may encounter line ups.
I personally have a solid system in place for set up. We arrive and pick a site. I back in to position, which you could do quicker with a pup, and then send the wife and 2 kids to the playground for 20 minutes. Setting up a pup is a one person job. I have heard of some set up stories on here of needing 2 people to pack up the beds on an HTT. I am sure some do it solo but just some need both people.
Plus there will be a lot more preventative maintenance required with a HTT or TT to avoid water infiltration( windows, roof, bunk ends)
Have you considered the extra space needed to store when not in use?
Don't get me wrong, I am not against an HTT or TT's for that matter but it seems you are trading more for convenience and to have less work and I believe in the long run you will have more.
good luck in your decision
