I took a look at the F150s on the ford site and here are the details.
Type, drivetrain, Wheelbase, Engine Size, Towing Capacity, Payload
SuperCrew 4x4 157" 5.0L V8 8200 lbs. 2330 lbs. ‡
**Is a 5.0L V8 enough to get me up and down the mountains?
SuperCrew 4x4 157" 6.2L V8 7700 lbs. 1730 lbs.
** Towing capacity is probably too low on this one
SuperCrew 4x4 157" 3.5L EcoBoost V6 8200 lbs. 2310 lbs. *‡
** V6 probably won't cut it.
As for the Tundra, opinions appear to be mixed. Those who own and drive the truck say its no issue. I think its probably borderline, and dependent on how much we haul along with us. Keep things light and we're ok, too much and we're over. Still considering our options... looking into F150.
